A designer transforms a master bath into the multi-functional space of one woman's dreams.
If a tree falls in the woods, does it cause the need for a master bathroom renovation? In the case of a professional couple looking toward a future retirement in Washington D.C., who had been in their house for 30 years, it did. They knew the cramped, dark space with pink and green tile needed much more than repairs - it needed more square footage and a luxurious feel - and it was to be entirely "her" bathroom.
"The husband said his wife could have whatever she wanted - he wanted to make her happy and give her every luxury she deserved," said designer Mary Drysdale of Drysdale Inc. "So I saw this project as a gift of love."
