Marrying timeless products from DXV with exquisite design creations, the DXV 2017 Design Panelists explore the world throughout the ages. This year’s panel transforms everyday spaces by taking an inspiration from the art, architecture, traditions, textures and handcrafted materials of four international locations:  Casablanca, Copenhagen, Florence and Toronto.

Led by DXV Design Counsel Veronika Miller, CEO of Modenus, this year’s distinguished DXV 2017 Design Panel unveils “Journey The World. Arrive Transformed.,” paying homage to the architectural milestones and enduring design styles that shaped the beauty
 of four global getaways.

The DXV Design Panel brings together award-winning interior designers with the luxury DXV product portfolio to create inspirational, one-of-a-kind spaces. The inaugural DXV Design Panel debuted in 2014 during the launch of the luxury plumbing showroom brand.

The DXV Design Panel was created to share inspirations generated by using the high-style DXV collections. It also aims to encourage engagement in a dynamic two-way conversation with professionals and interested consumers about the larger universe of opulent design.

These bath and kitchen design projects will be published in the Decade XV resource guide and on the DXV website (

Corey Damen Jenkins & Associates – Detroit

Corey Damen Jenkins is the principal of his eponymous, award-winning Detroit-based design firm, with a focus on vibrant colors, layered patterns and strong architectural elements. His goal is to ensure that clients’ homes are always classic, chic and without an expiration date.

The country has taken notice. Jenkins’ career reached new heights in 2011 after television audiences voted him the winning design star of HGTV’s Showhouse Showdown. Since then, he’s been featured in Traditional Home, The Wall Street Journal, House Beautiful, Domino, Architectural Digest, The Detroit News and more. In 2016, Jenkins saw his biggest childhood dream come true: the national premiere of his first couture furniture collection, Corey Damen Jenkins Exclusively for Leathercraft. The collection was recently nominated for the prestigious 2017 ARTS Award for Best Product Design.

With so much good fortune granted to him in such a short period of time, Jenkins strongly believes in giving back to the design community. His firm generously supports a number of fine charities including Housing Works: Design On A Dime, Variety For The Children, The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and DIFFA: Dining By Design in New York City.

Kati Curtis Design – New York City, Los Angeles

Based in Manhattan and Los Angeles, the work of interior designer Kati Curtis highlights the sophistication of New York with a twist of California. With a style that’s unrestrained yet very refined, Kati Curtis designs homes that are the visual story of the people living there. Her interiors are bold statements balanced by quiet details, such as dark accents in a white room or a well-defined edge that contains a surprise of color.
Every project is a stunning expression of the three elements central to Kati’s interior design philosophy: crafted, cultured and collected. Fine craftsmanship: raising the level of refinement in any room. The culture of the client: bringing a layer of very personal expression into the home. And the collected: creating warmth and comfort through surroundings that have been acquired over time.
Kati Curtis founded Kati Curtis Design (KCD) in 2005 after 12 years of working with international architecture and engineering firms. She is a Certified Interior Designer (CID) and a Leadership in Energy and Efficient Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). Kati’s expertise in energy-efficient design allows her to express her passionate belief in sustainability.

Michele Alfano Design– Hudson Valley, NY

Michele Alfano is the founder and creative director of Michele Alfano Design, a collaborative studio focused on the nexus of interior design and technology. A trained architect and daughter of an inventor, Michele is a thought-provoking designer who offers an architectural eye on interior design and style.

She brings her signature approach, “a tailored emotional intelligence” to life by heightening the experience of spatial and daily living. She believes spaces should beckon you to think, feel and touch. Her work is a narrative of opposites –a crisp, modern point of view is complemented by an imaginative use of light, pattern and texture, producing a visually sleek, masculine elegance.

Michele’s designs have been featured in publications such as Interior Design and Contemporary Tile & Stone Magazine. She has received honors in the industry such as the 21st Interiors Award for Best Public Space and appeared on Million Dollar Decorating podcast and BlogTalk radio. With her blog, she trend spots cutting-edge modern design.

Habermehl Design Group – Waterloo, Ontario; Canada
Alison is the principal of Habermehl Design Group in Waterloo, Ontario; Canada, and editor of the blog HD Stylestudio. Alison spent her youth in different parts of Ontario and Manitoba, and was equally influenced by traditional and bohemian values shared among her close-knit family.  Alison spent seven years volunteering at a Street Ministry, eventually leading to a position as Program Director. After starting a family of her own, the pull to help others create beautiful homes was overwhelming, and Habermehl Design Group (HDG) was born.
Over the past two decades, Alison’s portfolio has evolved into an impressive collection of stunning, high-end, carefully articulated and customized projects. Whether it is a new build or a sympathetic restoration, Alison’s work spans a remarkable range and extends across the globe from Canada’s Silicon Valley to Hong Kong.
With each new bespoke project, Alison’s care and stewardship, along with her constant pursuit of excellence, is felt as much as it is seen.  Every design is married with her unmistakable infusion of all that is sensual, chic, and studiously tailored to meet her clients’ exacting needs.
