Meet Christina Arduini

Meet Christina Arduini, design consultant and foodie, Torrco, Fairfield and Stamford, CT.

She brings you…
six years experience in home improvement, real estate, tile and flooring, topped with six months in plumbing. “My family is in construction. I went to school for business and then got involved in real estate. It’s in my blood. And I can totally appreciate the value nice bathrooms add to a home.”

She specializes…
in renovations and updates of bathrooms in the Fairfield and Stamford areas.

She wants to know…
what your style preference is.  But if you’re not sure, she’ll spend time getting to know you and what’s important to you, to help figure it out.  “I want to know if this is your “forever” home or will you be selling in a few years?  And is this a master bath, children’s bath or guest bath?”

She simplifies …
the process by taking all the guesswork out of the mysteries of plumbing. “I can help you understand what are the best products for you from a functional viewpoint. And figure out what goes behind the walls. For example, if you are redoing a shower, I can configure it so it works properly for you. It can be hard to grasp how plumbing works.”

She believes…

it’s important for you to understand how products work, and the warranties for the ones you are selecting.

She recommends…

selecting a vanity faucet first. “A lot of times, the faucet is something you notice right away. And with a collection, chances are you will also like the matching tub and shower fittings.”

She warns…
against searching the Internet too much and overthinking things. “It’s best to simplify and go with the style you like. You can become confused otherwise.”

She knows…

it can be hard to understand sizing and what shower, tub or vanity will fit into your bathroom. “It’s great if I have measurements or a blueprint. You may want the biggest vanity available but it may not be the best thing for your space.”

She goes beyond…
product selection and takes a lot of the burden off your shoulders by coordinating with your plumber, contractor or designer and sending them specs. “And if you need something that matches an item you already have, I can compare different collections and make recommendations.”

She is so well versed…

in decorative plumbing that she was able to do a complete turnkey job for a homeowner. “The most fun, challenging and rewarding project I’ve done was for people who came in with plans and a budget and asked me to select everything for four full baths and two half baths plus kitchen fixtures. There were a lot of moving parts, but I liked that I could be creative. We got it done, stayed on budget, and they loved it.”

She loves…
DXV because “there is something for everyone, no matter what your style. My style is eclectic so I like that. The toilets are nice and sleek, not chunky.” Two vanity faucet favorites are the Percy single-hole and the Lyndon single-handle wall faucet. “They are unique and clean looking.”  Right now she sees a lot of interest in rain heads, consoles and freestanding tubs. “All of which DXV has. I love the Fitzgerald console.”

She appreciates…

that her job is different every day. “It’s fun.”

She’s passionate about…

traveling and trying out new restaurants. “I like all kinds of food. My family is from Italy so they have set the bar pretty high!” Pearl in Westport on Long Island Sound is her new favorite. “The food is wonderful and it has a nice vibe.”
